New Microscope Study of Lace Snakeskin |

Read about what I found when I put the Kaden Lace Snakeskin under the microscope. The images are as beautiful as the guppy strain they study. |

Big Magenta Color Cell Study |

Magenta guppy peduncle area at 400X I examined a 1 month, 4 month and 7 month specimen to try to get an idea of how this puzzling mutation affects the color cells. What you see in the picture above is color cells swimming on a sea of blue iridophores. This is the essence of the mutation. Read about what I saw on my field trip into the color biology of magentas here. |

I have completed microscope studies of the full gold guppies. Here is the one on the grey verison of the Full Gold Leucophore. |

Exploring the Metal Pingu |
My Pingus yielded up a nice surprise...Metal Pingus. And they helped me see something I have always speculated about but never proven. Now there is proof. See the new Design Lab article: Exploring the Metal Pingu. |
I went back to my See-thrus for the examination of another specimen, this time a white See-thru, one missing all the color cells, even the yellow color cells. This is what it looks like.
At 400x magnification all you see is the general shape of the scale and no color cells. It is completely blank. See this study here. |
